This spring/summer we have done some revamping to our backyard/patio to be more useful and nicer looking. First we added on to the patio so there would be more sitting room, then we added a pergola and a shade to help keep the sun out of the kitchen and to add more of a private/homier feel. Well when we bought our house my parents gave me their old patio set which was still in very good shape since it had been in storage. It has remained the same up until a few weeks ago when I finally went out and purchased some new, brighter cushions! I have these kept in the shed so that the sun wont fade them so quickly, so unfortunately they probably won't be seen unless they are being used. Well the table is also pretty blah... sun faded and kind of old. I took it upon myself to paint it! It has a glass top with a metal frame and legs as well as matching chairs. I haven't painted the table yet but I've got the chairs just about finished. Below are some before and afters.

And viola! After! They are shinier and darker.. it's dark brown which should really make my new lime green cushion stick out big time! I'm so excited to get this finished!
