Skeet Shooting Adventures
Back in March Dylan and his family let us bring out our small group to shoot some skeet and hang out! This was the first time shooting guns for some of our friends so we had an awesome time!
New Family Photos!
A couple weeks ago Justin and I met with an incredible and highly-recommended photographer for some updated photos of us! We hadn't had any professional photos taken since our wedding day so we enjoyed an hour session in front of the camera with Leah! Hope you enjoy them!
Please check out more of Leah's work on her Facebook page - Leah Marie Landers Photography!
Thank you, Leah!

Playing Random Catch Up
I have every intention to blog all the time, but I just can't sit down and make myself! Therefore, we are going to cover the last several months here together!
We are going to skip around the last couple months here. So let's start with Easter! Our morning started off with a photo of our small group! Didn't we all look so nice?! ;-)

After church we headed to my grandparents house for a super delicious lunch with my family! Our course a few pictures were necessary.
While at lunch, my sister and her boyfriend announced that they are ENGAGED!
And then somehow I've skipped to nearly the end of April when Justin and I walked in the Race for the Cure with Justin's mom and cousin. This year was especially memorable as we walked in honor/memory of our Nanny.
Just a couple of weekends ago our small group enjoyed an adventurous evening at the Demolition Derby! We had a great time. These couples are so fun to hang out with!

Beginning of a new year! It's 2014!
We started out our new year with our annual trip to skeet shoot! This is the second year I have been able to take my own gun. See here I said take. Yes, i shot it, but I cannot find the skeet for the life of me! It's still fun though! This year I was able to take my new Nikon so I played around with it a little while we were out there.
Since then we haven't done much but relax at home! It's been a nice start to the year so far. January and Febrary always seem to be slower months in the lives of the Hathorn's so I am going to soak it in!
How have you started out your year so far? Is anyone doing any good devotionals or started any weight loss plans you can share?

Recapping 2013
Hi there! It has been quite some time since I last decided to post something. Mainly because I have had lots of other things going on, and when I do sit down, I don't really want to spend it blogging! We will see what 2014 holds for the blog. In the meantime, I figured I should get at least one more post on here before the year ends, and what better way to do it than to recap the last 6 months and 2013 as a whole! We have had lots of exciting events go on the last couple months so here they are!
In July this very sweet couple celebrated their engagement! Justin and I were so glad to be a part of it and be there when it happened! We look so forward to helping them celebrate their wedding day in 2014!
In August, Justin and I vacationed in Mexico for the first time! It was an experience in itself. We were so fortunate to get to take such a trip, but not sure we will ever do it again. We had a great time, but learned that we enjoy more exciting/busier vacations much better!
We spent lots of time outdoors with our family as we hiked some new locations this year!
Made our annual trip to MO for the corn maze with our families, one of my favorite traditions!
Celebrated my big 25th birthday just about every day that week!
Enjoyed a delicious dinner with Justin's grandparents, parents, aunt, and cousin.
A super yummy dinner at Monte Ne on my actual birthday!
With my parents, grandparents, sister, and (her) boyfriend.
Visited our local corn maze for the first time ever with our small group from church!
Celebrated three big milestone birthdays in Las Vegas! (My mom's 50th, my 25th, and Dylan's 20th!). Got to watch the incredible fountains outside the Belagio.
Found the famous Las Vegas sign off the strip and took several pictures there!
Took a weekend trip to Branson with our friends and got to see the beautiful lights at Silver Dollar City even though the weather was not ideal!
And celebrated our 7th Christmas together as well as with all of our families through the day!
What a blessed year it was! There is too much to be thankful for this year and every year. We had good, bad, sad, and happy times through out the year! We will never understand the reason for things, but must have faith in God and know that he is in control of all situations and has a perfect plan for it all! I was blessed with a new career with a new company earlier this year which has been incredible thus far and we have also dealt with the loss of a very special loved one after a very very long battle with cancer, as Justin's nanny went to be with Jesus right after Thanksgiving. We miss her so much but will never forget her. I was blessed to have gotten to know her throughout the 7 years that Justin and I have been together. What an incredible person she was, and what a legacy she has left behind.
We pray that God blesses you and your families throughout the new year, and I hope to get to read about your experiences, both good and bad, through blogging!
Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;..."
Proverbs 16:9 "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."
Cheers to a new year!
