A Visit to Newton County with the Hathorns!

Yesterday I was able to go with Justin and his parents, Darlene & Cecil, to Jasper to meet part of Darlene's family. Justin and I have been together for 2 and a half years and I had NEVER met any of them before! It was a fantastic day! The weather was soooo wonderful, I couldn't have asked for a better day. We arrived about 10am and I was introduced to Darlene's Aunt Joyce. She was a wonderful lady, so nice and welcoming! She reminded me so much of Justin's Nanny (which is her sister). Throughout the day we more family members would come by and chat for a while. In between all the visitors we had thanksgiving lunch, literally! There was SO much food. We walked around some and chatted some more and then continued to eat throughout the day. After a while Darlene took me and some others for a drive so we could go visit some grave sites of some other family members and just show me around Jasper. We were able to visit both sets of Darlene's grandparents and also her Uncle Kennith that she just lost in 2007. I had a great time learning all these things and seeing everything that I did. We also got the chance to pass by (& stop) and see the cabin that her parents built a couple years ago. Unfortunatley they don't own it anymore so I wont ever get the chance to stay there. Below are some pictures from the day. I took almost 100 pictures, but I only put up about 5. Enjoy!

Justin & I after eating lunch, just visiting with family members outside.
Here is some of the family. The weather was great, a little windy for my liking though.

Justin got the chance to shoot his cousin's guns. He thoroughly enjoyed this.

And here's a group picture that I took of all the family that was there at the time. A couple people are missing because they hadn't stopped by yet.

This is a stop that we made inbetween are drive from the cemeteries. I think this is the Buffalo River. Not real sure though.
Have a good week everyone! It's almost Thanksgiving!!!! :-D
