1 Year!

Today is the day! Our one year anniversary already. 366 days thanks to the leap year. What a fast year it has been! But a great one at that! It was a slight change from just dating or being engaged but it was wonderful! I remember much more about our wedding day than I thought I would, and I am so grateful for that. It also helps when you have a fabulous photographer that gets some great photos too! It was a LONG and HOT day but I would not have changed a thing! We started early early that morning setting up and getting chairs out and finishing decorations. Then the girls and I headed out to get our hair done before heading back to the farm to continue getting ready. Here are some behind the scenes photos before everything else really started.

The girls and me arriving at the farm after our hair appt. Ready to get to work!

Grabbing a bite to eat in between all the other festivities. The guys hadn't arrived yet so we were free to wander around!

Giving mom some love. I think this may have been when we got the news that the cake was melting and lost and entire layer and I was perfectly fine with it. It was just a cake!

My sweet (when he wants to be ;) and handsome fiance at the time! If you ask him what he was doing or thinking at the time he will tell you how hot it was. Not that was he excited or nervous or anything!!

Our "first look". Meeting before the ceremony. I will forever recommend this to future brides. We got to have a special moment with each other and an incredible opporunity to get some wonderful photos of just him and I and also with our bridal party. And you still have that special feeling when you walk down the aisle!

One of my favorite shots from the pre-ceremony photos. LOVE the lighting and the flowers. And a great backdrop in the middle of no where basically.

My daddy and I at the end of the aisle. Love this photo too.

And Justin and I after the ceremony. Another favorite here! It was a great ceremony that was fairly short and involved Justin making me and everyone else laugh with his facial expression of worry that his part of the vows were never going to end. He did just fine though!

And us cutting our melting wedding cake! It was so delicious though and a wonderful wedding gift from a dear family friend of ours. I loved how it turned out!

And last but not least, our friends and family seeing us off after the wedding! I love this photo with everyone surrounding us.

Justin-

What a wild year it has been! I know we both agree is was incredibly fast. It was been such a treat being with you for our first year of marriage and our now 5 years total. 5 years?!?! Wow. You are one of the most difficult people I have ever met, but somehow God has given me the courage to be with you :) We are so very different but compliment each other in some many ways. I love to embarrass you in public and do weird things to make you laugh and call me a freak. Your laugh kills me! It thrills my heart that I get to watch and hear SportsCenter about 10+ hours every week. Oh and thanks for mowing the yard and weed eating so I don't have to. Can you believe that this is what we're like and look like now.. compared to...

This is our very first picture together. We weren't "officially" dating yet. Our high school graduation day! May 19th, 2007.

And this picture is just a couple weeks after graduation. So crazy how much we have changed!

Happy Anniversary, Justin! I love you so much and I can't wait to celebrate many many more!
